Welfare Society in Lahore
About BIWS (Orphanage)
Begum Inayat Welfare Society of Pakistan (BIWS) is a registered Children Home under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
Pakistan is now on the stage where the masses are facing many issues like poverty, education health, etc. The solution for these problems is not possible until we try to solve them with unity and realistically. That’s where a great change can come in.
The founders of BIWS, Mr. Muhammad Akram Hussain and Miss. Aamna Kalsoom established this Children Home in March 2012, after visiting the earth-quake stricken areas of Azad Kashmir in 2010. They witnessed the devastation of the earth-quake and were so touched by this havoc. They sheltered some of the homeless girls and boys to the Children. It has living facility for both boys and girls. They are being accommodated into separate blocks.
Initially we have established this Children Home in a building consisting of three rooms. Afterwards, the Children Home was shifted to rented premises consisting of 17 Rooms. Currently, there are 50 children at the Children Home and the number is increasing with time. All children, above the age of 3 years go to a private school.
